Free news media exposure is more valuable than exposure you pay for in an ad or commercial. Why? Because when an editor decides your story merits assigning a reporter or photographer to it the story gains credibility. Your image and your message gain credibility. You can not just ask for news exposure. You have to convince an editor that your story would be of interest to the general public. That's what I do for you.
I worked three decades as a full-time reporter and editor for daily and weekly publications in Massachusetts and Hawaii. In the early 1970s I edited weekly newspapers in Northeastern Massachusetts. During my U.S. Army service I edited military publications at Schofield Barracks and Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. Between 1978 and 1983 I worked with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Eagle-Tribune in Lawrence, Massachusetts, as a sports and political reporter. I covered the Massachuetts State Legislature as well as the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. From 1983 to 2001 I was with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, working as a copy and wire editor and then as a sports reporter. Since 2001 I have occasionally written as a correspondent for the Boston Globe and the Chicago Tribune sports and national news desks.
