News editors have very little time to look at press releases. Having worked in newsrooms I know this.

One glance and it's on to the next release. So your release must be brief, compelling and directly to the point.  Hype and spin turn off editors, so I write your release as a straight news offering.

Information is in order of importance.

Editors want the raw material and if the material is interesting they will find a way to use it. 

What I do is cull through your resources to come up with what will grab an editor's attention.
