PR help
If the economy is shrinking
your advertising budget and you can not afford the big downtown PR firms, I can help you.
For a fraction of what you've paid monthly to keep your event or organization in the public eye, I will find ways to get broadcast or print news exposure for it.

As media director for the Honolulu Marathon I generate TV media worth more than half a million dollars in calculated publicity value every December. In December 2010 there were more than 200 TV hits associated with the marathon. The stories reached 3.8 million households during the month.
I also represent four private schools on Oahu: St. Francis School, St. Andrew's Priory, Damien Memorial School and Honolulu Waldorf.
In the month of May 2011 these schools had a combined total of 83 broadcast hits worth more than $200,000 in calculated publicity value. The hits reached more than 2 million Nielsen households and had a run time of 1 hour, 44 minutes and 25 seconds.
I work with the three major local TV news rooms (KHON2, KITV4 and HawaiiNewsNow), the Star-Advertiser daily newspaper and other media outlets in and around Honolulu.
I also write and post stories for my clients to the HawaiiNewsNow community website.
Because of a shortage of TV cameras in Honolulu I make a practice of shooting my own video at client events. I shoot in the format acceptable to producers and within the parameters they prefer. Providing video increases the chances of exposure for my clients.
I do not charge extra for this service, unlike other agencies.
For my school clients I seek out newsworthy students and faculty who best represent the institution.
I know how to find viable news angles because I spent three decades as a staff writer and editor with daily, weekly and military publications in Massachusetts and Hawaii.
